Kanichukulangara Devi temple fireworks on Shivratri night (23 Feb 09) attracts ten thousands of pilgrims. The temple is located 7 km from Cherthala in Alappuzha, Kerala state, India. The clip shows the fireworks items before lighting, vermillion powder sales, silver offerings to Devi and illuminated tower. The Arattu has the presence of three caparisoned elephants. The fireworks is a one hour programme with colorful display in the sky followed by the grand final - Kalashakettu (deafening sound, lot of smoke and heat. After fireworks display 'thiripidutham' starts.
